YOUR PRIVACY, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE
Privacy policy
PixelNeon is designed to compress images on your device. This page explains what stays local, what basic site analytics are used, and what information may be processed when you visit.
Last reviewed: October 2, 2026
Images stay in your browser
When you choose images, your browser reads and processes them locally to create previews and compressed files. PixelNeon does not upload your original images or finished files to its servers for compression.
The image data and temporary previews exist in your browser while you use the page. Removing an image, closing the page, or refreshing it clears the tool's in-memory work. Your downloads are saved only when you choose to download them.
Site analytics
On production deployments, PixelNeon uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and improve the experience. Analytics is separate from image processing and does not receive the contents of your image files.
Vercel says its Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies and uses a short-lived visitor hash that is discarded after 24 hours. Depending on the visit, analytics may process information such as the page viewed, timestamp, referrer, filtered URL parameters, approximate location, browser and operating-system versions, and device type. See Vercel's privacy and compliance information for details about its processing.
Accounts, storage, and sharing
PixelNeon does not require an account and does not provide a server-side image library. The site does not sell image contents or use image contents for advertising. We do not receive image files through the compression workflow.
Your browser and the hosting provider necessarily exchange standard requests to load the website. This is separate from the image files you select for local processing. Please avoid selecting files you do not have permission to use on a shared or untrusted device.
Your choices
- You can use the compressor without choosing any files; selected files are optional.
- You can use browser privacy controls or content blockers to limit analytics requests. Some site features or measurements may not work as expected when scripts are blocked.
- You can close or refresh the page to clear the current in-browser work. Downloaded files remain wherever your device saves downloads.
